State of the Theatre - February 2019

Updated: Feb 4, 2019

Executive Director Suzanne Hudson-Smith shares her thoughts about Players by the Sea in February 2019.

We are feeling the love from the community – I’ve spoken to several groups (Ponte Vedra Newcomers Club and Women’s Club) to excite them about our theatre, we’ve extended the use of our Studio Theatre to Fletcher High School theatre students (and what a great play they produced to sold out houses)… I could go on and on.  And so I shall!

Read more about the Young Creative Artists Series that was created out of necessity to give theatre students a place to create, continue learning and manage the producing aspect of their craft.  These kids are talented and we loved having them in house – Players was a buzz with energy! We’re hoping you’ll want to share your love of Players by the Sea and join the Board of Directors for a special event hosted by Jax Beach Brunch Haus featuring the amazing talent of Daniel J. Altman and Regina Torres. They’ll serenade your Valentines Day dinner (Lust, Love & Loss) with selections from Broadway that cover the full spectrum of relationships – from lust to love to loss. If you don’t have the right plans for your Valentine’s Day evening, support Players by the Sea and let us entertain you!

The community is speaking up about Players and all that we are offering – we feel the love and it is mutual. Our doors are open, so come on in!
