Important School Policies
Refunds/Cancellation:
Deposits for summer registration are refundable if you cancel two weeks before the first day of camp.Fees for camps cannot be transferred to other sessions. PBTS reserves the right to cancel classes that do not have an enrollment of ten or more students before the first class. Classes, faculty, and schedule are subject to change.
Special Needs:/Learning Disabilities:
Please please contact our Educational Director Barbara Williams at 249-0289 of any medical conditions, learning disabilities, allergies or special needs your child may have. It is imperative that we have a complete understanding of your child's challenges as we sometimes are not able to meet each child's individual needs in a camp atmosphere.
Observation Policy and Separation Anxiety:
Some of our youngest students may experience separation anxiety on the first day of camp. We find the most effective method for separation anxiety is a quick but loving goodbye from the parent. It is our policy that parents do not accompany students into the classroom, as we have found that this heightens the distress of the student. Once students begin class activities, anxiety typically diminishes.
Discipline Policy:
A big part of team play and acting exercises is teaching each “player” how to calm ones body, and how to listen to fellow actors and instructors. Inappropriate behavior that disrupts the group during class will be discussed with a parent if verbal warnings and/or asking the child to sit out of an activity does not result in an improved attitude.
