School of the Arts

Players by the Sea School of the Arts is dedicated to offering a multi-faceted theater program that teaches students of diverse backgrounds and ages the acting process while building self-esteem and developing creativity. Our program stresses ensemble acting, and trust development creating a safe environment for students to hone their skills.

Whether you choose an introductory or in-depth experience, PBTS School of the Arts provides a unique opportunity for young people to utilize their imaginations in a group setting, expressing themselves in wonderful and unexpected ways.

The School of the Arts is committed to offering classes of the highest quality; therefore, it is essential that students are placed in classes appropriate for their age and experience level. An interview for new students is required to determine the best class environment.

We offer spotlight classes for 1st through 4th, acting labs for 5th through high School, and musical theater for actors geared for 5th through high school. Adult classes are offered as well in the Fall and Spring. COMING UP!!  This Weekend....

Vocal Workshop /April 20, 2013  1pm - 4pm  

Instructor: Matt Morgan, Resident Vocal Director and Co-Director of Musical Theater at Douglas Anderson School for the Performing Arts. 
Geared for 5th through Adult.

Improve your vocal techniquepolish that audition piece, and find that radiant presentation! These 3 hour group workshop intensives will elevate your performance to the next level. Renowned singer/teacher Matt Morgan demystifies the act of singing by utilizing a system developed through his comprehensive study of anatomy, physiology, acoustics, and voice science.
Come study with a world renowned performer and master teacher while learning about the entertainment business from an insider with current industry connections. Matt's performances take him to every major performance venue in the country. This season he returns to New York's Lincoln Center, and Off-Broadway as well as perform with many major symphony orchestras and opera companies.

SESSION ONE: Saturday, April 20, 2013 1pm to 4pm   Tuition: $70.00 per person  
We will offer "observer" spots for those who do not want to perform but want to learn about the process. Fee: $15.00.
