This tale of vengeance and murder features a top-notch score by Stephen Sondheim, one of the musical theatre’s most brilliant composers. Sweeney Todd is a macabre tragicomedy based on the legend of a half-mad 19th century English barber. He is driven to crime when his wife and child are taken from him by an evil judge. Unjustly imprisoned, Todd eventually escapes and vows to bring justice not only to the judge who destroyed his life, but to all the people of London. To this end, he forms a partnership with Mrs. Lovett, an enterprising barmistress whose meat pies soon become the tastiest in London!

2007-2008 Volunteer Celebration And Pelican Awards

It’s our way of thanking the wonderful volunteers who contributed to the success of our 2007-2008 season – actors, directors, designers, crew, Board members, bartenders and many more – all the people who make the magic that it takes to produce a show! There will be an open beer/wine bar, lots of good food and awards to honor outstanding work. Lee Hamby, Josh Waller and Staci Cobb are our multi-talented hosts for the evening. Socialize and celebrate with your cast-mates and theatre friends! Spread the word – the more the merrier! Congratulations to the nominees and a heart-felt thank you to all our volunteers!
