Players by the Sea is proud to bring back Life on the Diagonal, a deliciously quirky evening of storytelling through monologues, original music and poetry. These performances will kick off a four night engagement at TheatreLab in New York City. Written and performed by multi-faceted Barbara Colaciello Williams and directed by Robert Arleigh White, this one-women show celebrates life's mysteries and imperfections with humor, sexuality and a little A.D.D.
William's steers us on a bumpy ride that weaves and diverges from her Italian Catholic upbringing in New York to her present incarnation as a mother, teacher and artist in North Florida. Along the way, fueled by her vocabulary of self-definition, she takes her listeners on an intense, yet funny journey through an experience-strewn landscape, into and beyond the "land of should."
Currently, the Educational Director at Players by the Sea, Williams' worked with Andy Warhol for 6 years as the Advertising Director of Interview Magazine and studied with Larry Moss considered to be one of the premiere acting coaches in the country.
Barbara joins forces with director Robert Arleigh White, a recognized performance artists in his own right who currently serves as the Executive Director for the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville.
