Something is always happening at the School of the Arts
Classes
From elementary to high school, our year long program emphasizes improvisation, theater games, & play building developing skills such as focus, listening, agility, projection, body awareness and emotional literacy
Performances
Students showcase their work through Evenings of Improvisation, Scene and Monologue Nights, and plays. We invite parents, friends and the community to come and enjoy watching the growth and development of our students.
Our Motto: Read Plays, See Plays, Be in Plays
Our motto reflects the need to not only develop a young person's acting skills but also to develop a love and understanding for the theatre as a reader of plays and an audience member. We offer our students discounted tickets for our productions to encourage them to see theater.
Be Our Partner
Help us reach the children in our community. Studies show that students who are exposed to and participate in theater have improved learning and developmental skills.

Outreach
Players by the Sea is committed to producing plays geared for young people that impacts on their lives and the community. In October of 2005, Players produced a play called Chalk that deals with relational aggression. Over 2.400 students from St. John's and Duval County schools attended the program at the Fine Arts Center on the UNF campus. Players provided teachers with a study guide that helped educate the kids on the harmful impact aggressive behavior has on other's lives.
Scholarship Opportunities
Players by the Sea offers need based scholarships for children that express a passion and talent for drama.
